Aidilfitri 2011

I am still on Raya mood although today is the 19th day of Syawal 1432. This time raya memang raya sakan...our theme colour this year is Orangy Peach. It was my sis-in-law's idea to have the orange theme colour when we spent one of the weekend in JB for school holiday...So I bought my material at Jakel in JB and sent to the tailor in Seremban...(it's my first time with the tailor)...and sent over 4 materials all together. The other 3 were bought so many many years ago..I think 4-5 years back.

2 days before Syawal, my tailor called to inform that she is hospitalized due to dengue...So I had no choice but to search the whole Seremban town for my attire on the first and second day. Started with bazaar Ramadhan and continued the next day...I went to one boutique to another...it was a little bit of challenge to look for the "orange" that I want...not only the colour, but also the design...finally I found the colour yet simple kurung that I wanted to wear for the first day...

My heart and soul

We spent malam raya at my mother-in-law's place and the next day, my sis-in-law, who I called "Chef-Diva" cooked soto, and I cooked chicken rice. After prayer, we had family phtography session... Later in the evening, we went to 3 relative houses in Seremban, then went to aunty's place in Bangsar and finally went to my parents' home in TTDI..

Second day, ...we had our usual family gathering on 2nd day at my aunty's home in Kajang since 2004, after my grandmother passed away. Well, this year we decided to wear black & write..all these years normally no theme colour for 2nd day. I bought caften from my sis-in-law...black background with off-white flower...since my tailor could not have my kebaya ready :-(

2nd day theme is black and white

On 3rd day, we spent the day at home..we were so exhausted after 2 days of makan2 non-stop..hehehe...After asar, we went to my father's friend's house in Kuang...the 3Q's residence. We enjoyed the food as well as the ambiance definitely. On that nite, we drove back home...

Forth day, my family and Az's family visited my mak long in Seremban Garden. We couldn't visit her on the first day at my cousin's place in Bangi...After that, we headed to Kuantan to attend the wedding of my sis-in-law's younger sister. On the way to Kuantan, we dropped by at Raub to visit my hubby's aunty...Later in the evening, we continued our journey to Kuantan, and spent a night at "homestay" in Balok...

My Precious...

A year ago, 15 July 2010 was the day...the day that I delivered to my 4th child, a baby girl, who we proudly named Aira Myesha. It was the day that I was asked by my gynae to go to the labour room at 8am though the labor pain did not exist. After sending Aiman, my eldest son to school and had breakfast, we went straight to the hospital. This time, the feeling was totally different. There was no real contraction, so I took my sweet time to get myself ready in the morning. The bag was already packed 1 week earlier. When the nurse took us to the labor room, I realized it was the same labor room when I delivered to my 3rd child, Aidid...what a coincidence!

At almost 9am, my gynae came to check on me. I was panicked when the she said that I need to be induced. Why? The cervix dilated at 2 cm, however, the baby's head was no longer engaged. There wasn't any real pain, so I took time to recite Surah Maryam (thanks to iphone for the application) again and again...until the real contraction finally came at almost 1 pm. That was after the doctor broke the waterbag. Another shocking news - the baby had past motion! The doctor advised that I may need to go for c-sec if there wasn't any sign for delivery. At around 3 pm, the doctor came again. This time with her OT attire. When she checked, the cervix had dilated to 6-7cm and since then the pain was real. I did not remove the gas from my mouth at all.

I was half concious and just took instructions from hubby and the nurses. About 50 minutes later, I suddently saw the doctor came again and a minute after that she put the baby on my stomach. Still, I couldnt believe my eyes that the baby had came out naturally...the experience this time was different..the pain suddenly diminished to see the baby in my arms - safe and sound! Alhamdulillah, I am so grateful for this precious gift...
