My first bro, Idz's akad nikah with Jua was held in Kelana Jaya after maghrib prayer. The preparation for the akad nikah was done since early this year...The occasion followed by the wedding reception in Kelana Jaya on the next day.

While getting ready for work on tuesday, i checked on my mobile, and saw a message from Maksu, my mom's youngest sister. Shocked to receive the news that my cousin's has just passed away. My cousin who was 15 years old was admitted to ICU, GH due to high fever. Both hubby & I went straight to Uncle Mir's house in Gombak for the kebumi. We just arrived in time before the body is brought to the graveyard. After the 'bacaan talkin' was over, we went to visit Uncle Sham, my mom's brother in law who is suffering with lung cancer in Tmn Melawati. Looking at Uncle Sham's condition made me realize that our time will definitely come, just a matter of time! I held his hand, called for his name and intoduce myself...he can still recognize me...

It was already late when I left the office, so I went straight to my mom-in-law's house for mengaji...while we were having dinner, got a call from Jaja and she informed another bad news - uncle sham passed away. i checked my mobile, and there was an sms from Maksu. As it was almost midnight, I decided to go to Melawati on the next day.

14 July 07
Early morning, I left home with the kids and my maid. Hubby couldn't come as he has work commitments. I sent the kids to Tmn Tun and fetched Az and Timah and went straight to the mosque at Tmn Melawati. Before Zuhur, Uncle Sham selamat dikebumikan. We went back to Aunty Yah's house and after Zuhur we went back to Tmn Tun to get ready for Idz & Jua's reception at Sheraton. As that night will be the first kenduri tahlil, some of my aunties and uncles were not able to join for Idz and Jua's reception.

We reached Sheraton at almost 7pm and after maghrib all of us were all ready. The reception went very smoothly...

21 July 07
Idz's reception at our side was held at Dewan Merak Kayangan. From 10 am, we gathered at the hall for the rehearsal. It went smoothly, except the kids become a bit restless and start to run everywhere. We went back to TTDI to ensure the kids take a nap first, otherwise they will get cranky during the ceremony.

We reached Merak Kayangan at almost 6.30 pm and get ready for the function. The dressing room was full with relatives and close friends who were also getting ready and help around with the bunga telur.

At 8.30 pm, all of us were ready to walk along the aisle together with the bride and groom. It was Mama's idea to include Jaja and I with our hubby and children, as we had our weddings at the same place. The children were behaved..they managed to go thru with the flow. The guest were delighted to see us and the children with the same attire. After dinner, Papa gave a speech and later invited me to come on stage to read 'Amanat Mama' which the script was specially written for the 5 of us and mama requested me to read on her behalf.

Although we were all tired, but we were satisfied that the ceremony went smoothly. All tables were full and and the guests were also pleased with the special 'bunga telur'...

28 Apr 07 - The Rehearsal...

29 Apr 07 @ 10.30 am - We were supposed to gather at Merak Kayangan for a rehearsal before the wedding on that nite. My family travelled from Senawang in the morning, had breakfast at Restoran Negeri, our usual kedai mamak.

We reached at 11 am, expecting the rest of family members waiting for us...the emcee. Later, we got to know that we were the early birds Few minutes later, Papa and Mama came and Papa went thru the script...not much amendments done...Alhamdulillah.

Aiman and Aisha's battery started to recharge, and they were running back to front in the big hall with happiness...Started to get worried when they went up to the pelamin...some photos taken at the pelamin..

The full rehearsal started at around noon...3 times...with the musics etc. It was okay, but to shorten the time taken for the merenjis, it was suggested both husband and wife to be called together instead of individually...they liked the merenjis part with the pantun for each of the 'perenjis'..is there such word??

The funny part was when my dearest hubby called for Papa and Mama..."Majlis menjemput Dato' Shamsuddin Dahlan dan ...." as he was teragak-agak, I whispered to him mama's name...maybe panic kot.. or mmg terlupa mother inlaw's name....coz initially papa and mama was not included in the merenjis ceremony...hahaha...not only both Papa and Mama, but there also another couple to be included.

It was almost 2 pm after we had refreshment before going home to refresh ourselves. My worry was I got another 4 pantuns to be ready. On the way home, I started to scribble the pantun...and finally got 2 pantun as I reached TTDI's home...I felt relieved!

After zuhur, hubby and I sat together and worked on our script and finally we completed it at almost 5 pm...Alhamdulillah..At 6.30 pm we were all ready to go to the dewan...and butterflies had got into the stomach

29 Apr 07 - am i ready?

29 Apr 07 - is the reception of my cousin, Siti Farisha Dina. I am assigned to be the emcee for the occasion. well, though is not my first time (i was 'forced' to be the emcee to her brother, Danial in Dec 05..it was an impromtu...at Melawati Club..but okay la)

Tisha's reception will be held at merak kayangan, felda at 8 pm. well...well..with a big crowd (i think about +500 ppl), I hope that everything goes well that nite...this time my partner will be my beloved hubby...heheh :-)

Preparation..? I was looking for the old script that i had prepared during Danial's time...searching for it up and down, every drawers in my bedroom...i just could not find it. nevertheless, i have prepared some write-ups, and pantuns (off course!!!) and hope to finalize it during my long break (from 26 Apr - 2 May)...Yes!

The Flower Girl

The preparation prior to the wedding was planned well. From the theme colour, concept, the 'bunga telur' and off course the attire to wear to all 5 occasions. For Aisha & Kyra who have been 'appointed' to be part in the flower girl team, we decided to do the dress at Carousel, Bangsar Village. The pic shown was during 'fitting'. The 2 girls were excited to wear the new dress...and be part of the 'star' during the reception on 21 July @ Merak Kayangan.

Mac Super Model

On one of the weekend in June, we went shopping for preparation for Idz's wedding. Morning went to Jln TAR, and afternoon at KLCC. Met Idz and Jua and spent at MAC counter almost 2 hrs. Shida, the salesgirl is really good. She did her job well in putting up all the relevant make-ups and here the result...the initial purpose was to buy the items for the hantaran...and i end up gotten 'influenced' and decided to buy some items for myself :-)

Weekend Preview - Shrek 3!

Last Saturday, 9 June 07 i brought aiman and aisha to watch Shrek 3 ! This was their first movie in the cinema! Few days before, I told them about it (off course they were excited and thot that we were going on that nite itself) I asked them to behave if they want to go along ...well it worked for few minutes...

On Saturday morning, i asked my maid to ensure that both of them to to sleep after lunch and by the time i got back, they were sleeping..takut they will fall asleep in the cinema pulak! i tried to call TGV, Sban 2 since morning however no one picked up ( as usual)...why lah susah sgt...other TGVs are all okay...online booking pun tak boleh! Finally I managed to speak to the ticketing person, and found out that the phone reservation booking were full, and requested me to walk-in instead.

I prayed hoping that the ticket were still available...kalau tak kesian le the kids who were extremely excited. After Asar we left home, and just before we left, hubby asked me to take the kids as he wanted to go for bowling...well...me, as first timer to take these 2 kids into the cinema...hmmm...tried to be macho la! i said ok la.

Hubby drop me off first while he searhed for the parking. It was 10 min before 5.30 pm...luckily there were no queue at all. I quickly went to the counter and requested for ticket of 1 adult and 2 children. There were no more 'best view' seats available. Like it or not I have to take the seats which is 4 rows from front!

Hubby and the kids were waiting after I bought popcorn and milo. Aiman, Aisha and I went upstairs and looked for cinema 5..while walking Aiman read the cimena no. We went inside and light in the cinema was already off. I told aiman to hold aisha's right hand while i held aisha's left hand. While I was about to walk thru the aisle, i looked behind and saw aiman still stood at te doorway. i whispered his name and when he saw me he started to cry. i quickly walked towards him, and suddenly aisha on the other hand started to cry too....Oh my God! I was hoping both of them will not get hysterical...knowing that both of them esp. aisha is scared with darkness. i held both of them, consoled both of them...and walked them thru the aisle and got them seated. Aiman was okay..he held the popcorn throughout the movie and put all his attention on the screen. Aisha only sat on her seat for 5 minutes, and would like to sit on my lap for the rest of the movie...30 half an hour before the movie ends, her attention was already on the other kids in the cinema.

Overall, Shrek 3 was good and funny It was my first time to watch Shrek from beginning to end. I did not really watch Shrek 1 & 2.

The most important thing is I'm satisfied...not bcoz I gave 100% concentration at the cinema, but I'm satisfied to be able to spend some time with my beloved kids and to make them happy... Both of them were pleased and very excited. Well, definitely gonna take them for the next show

25th May 07...

On last Friday, 25th May, on the way back home i called hubby, and he asked to join him for dinner, as he was also on the way home. We had western food that nite...(I had the same for lunch at the cozzy corner...

When we reached home it was already 8.30 pm, and my mom-in-law was there...we normally have 'mengaji' on Friday nite, but not for that nite...around 10 pm my mom-in law went home, and i helped aiman with his homework...(nowdays, kids have lots of homework regardless whther they are in pre-school or not..) well, aiman has lots of homework to do for the school break, and it is quite challenging to request him to complete his homework, unless he has the 'mood' ..he had the 'mood' that nite, so I dont wanna lose this opportunite.

While I am helping aiman, hubby was fixing his fishing equipments...getting ready to go that night itself. After he settled with his equipments, he came and suddenly he asked to me get ready to go to karaoke... ...knowing me who has not gone for karaoke session...ok je la...

While we were on our way, I called by brother in-law and his wife, unfortunately they were not able to join...well, the more the merrier..i have never been to karaoke session less that 5 ppl.

The News KTV at Seremban Parade is rather new. my sis in-law did tell me about this, i thought it is a karaoke box ..not a proper karaoke room. It was not bad at all..it's new.. the computerize system is good..it's clean...clean meaning it's doesn't look like any of the karaoke I went before where the lights are dim and theare is always an 'open' karaoke. The reception itself is very bright and so does the corridors. They have around 50 karaoke rooms altogether ...and 3 different types of room.

We spent about an hour...(they closed at 12.30 am) ...and still have lots of songs to sing that's the shortest duration I have gone to anyways, i'm gonna remember the day itself in particular coz it was a first time i went to karaoke session with hubby after 5+ years of marriage...and i never thought that he will ask me to go at the first place....very funny! we may make it quite often...

We went home and watched Puaka Tebing Biru until 3.30 am...not bad at all. Off course, a small pillow will cover up my face most of the time....

A Rememberance...

Jaja approached me, and asked whether I'm interested to take photos of the kids and myself for Mother's Day...hmm...I thought I would like to give a try...especially the photographer is Jaja's colleague..I browse her blog and pics she took...not bad at all..its an excellent piece of work.
So, last Sunday, 20 May, the appointment confirmed at 9.00 am at Tasik Kemuning, Shah Alam. As I'm not familiar the whereabouts, we fetched Jaja at her home in Subang and about 20 minutes later we arrived. Zubye, Jaja's colleague was already waiting for us for the shoot.
